→ Joe Biden causes inter-Zoomer rift
Even recent claims that his uncle was eaten by cannibals don’t seem to be earning Joe Biden any love from Gen Z. New polling reveals that while the President leads rival Donald Trump by 45% to 37% among Americans aged 18-29, this margin is far smaller than the 23 points which separated the two during the 2020 election. More interesting, though, is the apparent age split within the younger generation.
Biden is ahead by 29% points among voters 25-29, but only 14% among voters 18-24, seeming to confirm anecdotal reports that the younger part of the Gen Z cohort is substantially more conservative than the older part. https://t.co/TP4M9DoNBi

This is because when looking at what the Harvard Youth Poll calls “likely voters”, as distinct from the entire age group, Biden has a 26-point lead over Trump among those aged 25-29, yet is only ahead by 14 points when it comes to voters in the 18-24 bracket. Are younger Zoomers more conservative than the elder part of the cohort? Must be all the TikTok radicalisation…
→ Liz Truss defends hanging out with Steve Bannon
Liz Truss isn’t one for apologies. As the former PM continues her book tour, she sat down with the Financial Times, whose interviewer duly asked her about her appearance alongside Steve Bannon at a CPAC event in February. Then, Donald Trump’s old consigliere praised far-Right activist Tommy Robinson as a “hero” while Truss grinned beside him. Does she regret her controversial collab?
No, said Truss, though she added that “it was a very noisy and busy room where lots of stuff was going on.” The Downing Street alum laid out the further caveat that “obviously I don’t support Tommy Robinson”, but stressed that “the idea that you shouldn’t talk to anyone whose views you don’t share 100 per cent is absolutely wrong.” A shame she couldn’t make the NatCon conference this week…
→ Javier Milei blows kisses at Nato
Three months after claiming that Western leaders are failing their people, Javier Milei wants to forge closer ties with them. The Argentinian President has requested to become a global partner to Nato, and the country’s Defence Minister Luis Petri met with Alliance officials this week. The partnership is an attempt to “modernise” the South American country, and to cosy up to the EU and US.

Milei hasn’t always had easy relations with the EU, but two days ago Argentina purchased old fighter jets from Denmark, with Petri describing the move as Argentina’s most important aeronautical expansion since 1983. What historical event could he be referencing?

SubscribeI was eaten by cannibals once. I left while I was still ahead.
I’m sure Biden will eventually tell that joke too!
What sad soul keeps downvoting your wit?
I suspect a lot of those young lads and lasses secretly rather like bad uncle Donald whose done what they’d rather like to do.
That is be noisy, show offy, objectionable and funny. Unlike Great granddad Joe who always checks you know what the Bible text was.
